A Letter to Prospective International Students
Dear Prospective International Student:
Thank you for your interest in Dali University. As the Chairman of the University Committee and the President of the University, we warmly and sincerely welcome you to study in Dali University.
Dali University is located in a world-known tourist city ---- Dali, a famous historical and cultural city in China. The University is also one of the universities in China that the Chinese Ministry of Education recommends for international students.
Dali University covers an area of 180 hectares with two extensive beautiful campuses. There are more than 1000 teachers, of whom 400 more are professors or associate professors. There are two university hospitals with more than 1000 faculty and staff members respectively. The total number of full-time students now on campus is around 18,000, including 900 more postgraduate students, 1000 more international students from 19 countries. There are around 25,000 correspondence students.
Dali University was established in October 2001 as a result of the combination of four colleges: Dali Medical College, Dali Teachers College, Dali Radio and Television College and Dali College of Industry. Now the university offers programs in liberal arts, science, medical science, engineering, education, law and management, agriculture and etc. The University has 16 colleges and 8 scientific research institutes offering 39 master degree programs, 59 undergraduate programs and all the programs are open to international students.
